How to request deletion

To request deletion of your personal information, email richard@homebirdhr.com from the email address associated with your Homebird account. We'll confirm your request and action it within 30 days.

What we delete immediately

Profile information (name, contact details, ID number, address), free-text notes, and any other account data that isn't subject to a statutory retention requirement is deleted from our active systems once your request is processed.

What we retain, and why

Payroll, salary, and UIF-related records may be subject to statutory retention requirements under South African tax and labour law. Where that applies, we retain only the records the law requires, for no longer than required, even after a deletion request. In short: we delete what we can immediately, and retain only what we're legally obligated to.

WhatsApp onboarding data

If you messaged our WhatsApp number to start onboarding but didn't complete signup, that conversation data is not linked to an active account. You can still request it be removed by emailing us with the phone number you messaged from.
